You’re invited to join us at Foodeast Haumako for the third breakfast in our Innovation Club series.
Thursday 28th May 7.30am – 9am
Foodeast Haumako, 4 Hanui Road, Tomoana, Hastings
Innovation lessons from those leading change. Two of New Zealand’s food and beverage industry innovation leaders will take the stage at the next Hawke’s Bay Innovation Club breakfast, offering an unfiltered look at what it actually takes to drive change inside large organisations.
John Steiner, Strategy Director at Lion, and Nick Rowe, Head of Customer Innovation at Silver Fern Farms, bring hands-on experience from two companies where innovation and sustainability aren’t just talking points. The discussion will be expertly facilitated by Louise Nash, founder of XLabs , a circular economy training programme that both Lion and Silver Fern Farms have participated in, and host of the Redesign of Everything podcast.
Expect candid conversation as Louise invites our guest speakers to walk through live and recent projects: what drove them, how they were developed and delivered, and what didn’t go to plan. This session is designed to surface the trade-offs, pressure points and false starts that rarely make it into case studies. A particular focus will be sustainability as an opportunity for innovation, rather than a compliance burden.
Why attend? Whether you’re developing new products, rethinking processes, or working through a sustainability agenda, this is a rare opportunity to benchmark against peers operating at scale — and take away thinking that’s directly applicable to your own context.
Enjoy breakfast, connect with others in the industry, and gain insights to help your business stay ahead of the curve.
