The construction of foodeast-haumako, Hawke’s Bay’s home of food and beverage innovation, is on the home stretch. The two buildings that make up the facility are due to be handed over to the board by mid-March.

Just weeks away from completion, the interior of the main foodeast-haumako innovation building is the focus.

The rear foodeast-haumako building, the Innovation Factory, is all-but completed and the front building, the Innovation Centre, is closed in. Both buildings will be ready for occupation early in the new year.

April 2023, and the timelapse footage shows the groundworks have been completed allowing construction of the Innovation Factory, the building to the rear of the site, to start.

With groundworks completed, preparation for the construction of the foodeast-haumako secondary building, towards the rear of the site, started in mid-January in the lead up to completing the consent process.

With good progress being made over the first four months, in the timelapse footage the hardstand and foundations for the Innovation Factory, the building to the rear of the site, can be seen.
